Google has announced that it will no longer support Internet Explorer 8 to run its cloud-based tools including email and Google Apps.
Those user who are still running old browser will not be able to use Gmail, Google Docs, Calendar, and Google Drive.
This move will specifically affect Windows XP users for which, IE9 can’t be installed.
Google Apps and its productivity suits are popular in colleges and schools, businesses and government offices – many of which are still using Windows XP in their computers.
Possible solution to this problem to XP users might be to use Firefox browser or Google’s own Chrome browser as IE alternative although the best option would be to upgrade Windows to Windows 7 or Windows 8.
