New, refreshed, iPod Touch expected in September

iphone4_ipod-touch1 It has become some sort of tradition of Apple: New iPods in September, new iPhone in July, and some kind of Mac refresh in January. People love Apple gossips, and peeking through its closely guarded premise has always been exciting.

This time, it is a major UK retailer , John Lewis, who says there’ll be a substantial refresh of the iPod Touch this coming September 2010.

Some of the major attractions in the new device, according to pocket lint are:

  • Improved 5-megapixel camera with a flash
  • Can shoot HD video
  • Accelerometer and gyroscope, similar to that in the iPhone 4
  • FaceTime calling over Wi-Fi
  • Social networking focused

Looking in the history, Apple had released new iPod Touch in the first few days of September in 2007, 2008, and 2009. (Attached image is created by photo modification of image of iPhone4).
