In three days of its launch, all of its 1.7 million units of iPhone 4 were sold, and some unlucky customers have to wait for the arrival of new shipment.
Apple CEO Steve Jobs said in a press release that the iPhone 4 was Apple’s most successful product launch ever.
Jobs added, "Even so, we apologize to those customers who were turned away because we did not have enough supply."
Apple started selling the smartphone online on June 15, when both Apple and AT&T websites were unable to manage the heavy demand, causing delays to many customer orders. AT&T is the exclusive service provider for the iPhone in the U.S.
