In a latest rumor, HP may showcase it’s webOS Palm tablet, PalmPad, in the CES2011. Fox says that HP will release three varieties of PalmPads featuring mini HDMI video output and built-in WiMAX for using Sprint’s 4G network. Fox also claims the large-screen (9.7 inch) tablet to be lighter than iPad, at 1.25 lbs and sports a USB 3.0 port. The fourth version of the tablet, with 8.9 inch screen, targeted to college students, will be released later in the year.
Although HP had earlier said that it will release Palm tablets sometime in early 2011, CES schedule doesn’t show any significance presence of HP in the event.
