You can cut and paste text and graphics with [command+X] but there is no such key for files and folders.
What do you do when you want to move a file from one location to another?
You can drag the files or folder from the source and then drop at the destination location. It seems easy enough. But there is a catch. You can’t move files by dragging and dropping over different hard drives. In such cases, the files or folders are copied instead of being moved. You can go back to the source location and delete the stuffs.
Drag-and-Drop holding the Option key might work. But, ‘ctrl+x’ was simple enough a key in the Windows.
